One might wonder what does the title mean. Well, before the days of electronic player pianos, player pianos worked by reading a paper music roll that was loaded into the piano similar to the way film used to be loaded into a camera. Depending on the age of the piano, the mechanism that moved the drum that held the roll was powered by foot or by electric motor. As the roll would move from the source to the take-up spool, the holes punched into the roll would tell the action in the piano what hammers to actuate to play the note. These rolls would be quite long depending on the piece.
How does a piano roll relate to a blog? The home page of the blog lists several posts or entries at once that the reader must scroll through to read just as the music roll on the piano would scroll allowing the piano to read it.
